08:00 AM ET 06.29 | This just in: Drew Rosenhaus is bullish on client Terrell Owens. Rosenhaus, confirmed Tuesday that the star receiver tore his anterior cruciate ligament, had surgery in early April and "will be playing at the start of the NFL season." In an interview with ESPN, Rosenhaus called speculation that Owens was considering retirement "nonsense" and said the 15-year veteran is doing "fantastic" and could be recovered as early as August. Rosenhaus said Dr. James Andrews performed the surgery to the same knee in which Owens tore his meniscus late last year. "The old injury has been repaired," Rosenhaus said. "He is many months into recovery and doing fantastic. No predictions on training camp, but he comes back fast from injuries. I won't rule him out of anything. He will be a starting receiver for someone this year."

Oh boy...

Now I'm just being spoiled. In my humble opinion, Drew Rosenhaus is the brown stain on the mattress of the sports world.

One good hit and TO gets paid to be on IR. Is that what the plan is?

Yea, that's it. that's his evil little plan!

When I read the first sentence and hit the word 'bullish', my brain automatically rearranged the letters to read bullshi*, and I thought this was the first thing Rosenhaus has ever said that made sense.

It would be funny to me if the Vikings took all these rejects that are floating around the NFL.

if that happens, it will be as if Christmas came real early this year.

If T.O. had received a lobotomy during the ACL procedure, he might have a few more teams interested.

June 29, 2011  09:38 AM ET

Many months into the recovery? How is that if he had the surgery two months ago? Rosenhaus is full of more crap than a Christmas goose.

I was thinking more like April Fools Day.

LMAO. Great example! Drew and T.O. deserve each other. Seriously, I don't like to see anybody have to leave because of injury. But, personally I'm sure T.O. is way past his prime and should retire gracefully (ha, ha). If he wanted to he could make bazillions as a a game day analyst a la Deion.

In the last two years, this guy has flunked out of Buffalo and Cincinatti. There is no place lower for him to go next.

As long as Rosenhaus gets his cut, sure, why not?

This is just the start of Rosenhaus's efforts to Jedi mind-trick any weak-minded GMs out there who haven't already figured out what T.O. is all about.

Does he even have a contract? I thought his deal with the Bingos was for one year only.

Expect to see him on a street corner with a sign, "Will Tweet for Food."
