08:02 AM ET 06.29 | Ndamukong Suh, if all goes according to plan, will form an impact duo in Detroit with Nick Fairley. "He seems like he's very anxious and ready to work, and wants to be able to be a part of something great. It's going to be a lot of hard work and I think he's ready for it." Suh was in New York for the NFL draft and was surprised that Fairley was still on the board when the Lions picked 13th. But he did go to New York thinking it was a possibility after pre-draft conversations with coach Jim Schwartz and defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham. "I was definitely surprised that he was still on the board," Suh said. Suh earned All-Pro honors with 10 sacks his rookie season. Fairley was one of the best defensive linemen in college football last year, recording 12 sacks for the national champion Tigers.

If Detroit's offense can come up with some plays where Matthew Stafford throws from a gurney, they could score some points, too.

The Detroit D-line should be one of the best in the league, but their secondary needs some help. Teams will be able to move the ball on them with quick passes.
