Alex Legion, a 6-foot-5 guard who decided early this week to transfer from Kentucky, is reconsidering his decision and may return to the school, according to a source close to Legion. The source said Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie would be open to Legion returning. Legion informed Gillispie on Monday night he wanted to transfer, the school said.

Any rumours on where he would go? Wasn't he originally committed to Michigan before he opted out for UK?

not sure about where he was gonna go before UK, but he ought to give Gillispie a chance. i watched that UK/Tarheels game on Saturday and i was wondering why Legion didn't play the first half.....UK has potential, but they looked a little unorganized on offense during that game.

I was @ the UNC v UK game. They put the dude in and the crowd went bananas. 30 secs later they took him out and all 20000+ booed the hell outta them. They love that kid out there. He's not leavin tho.

He should stick out his decision, I mean he's only been there for 6 games. This from a Tar Heels fan, but he can play at a high level and where is he going to get a better atmosphere than at UK? It is right there with UNC, Duke and UCLA.

Maybe he isn't playing because the coach doesn't think he is working hard enough in practice?

People, being from Michigan, this kid is a head case that goes all the way back to high school. He withdrew from his HS so could play in Chicago, and officially committed and withdrew his committment to MIchigan TWICE! He's already acting like an NBAer.

December 5, 2007  08:18 PM ET

Yea the only difference is you have to show that your good enough to make it to that next level, now there is no doubt the kid has talent just stick with UK work your tail off and in the end you will get what you deserve

Initially, I thought UK's Legion was some crappy soccer team.

Just so you all know (for those of you outside of central KY), Alex's mom is whacko. She claims to be a prophetess that can see the future. She said in the Lexington Herald Leader not too long ago that God had told her in a vision that KY was going to win the Final Four in Alex's Junior year. How convenient.
She passes out flyers in the stands at Rupp asking people to come to the 'church' she preaches at and listen to her complaints about KY basketball. She is blooming looney.
If you notice, everything Billy Clyde said initially was about Alex's mom not wanting him to be at KY.

I don't think he's leaving. Billy's got him, the kid wants to play for UK. He's just one of those players that feels he DESERVES more time on the court. Kentucky is loaded with talent at guard. If he wouldn't have started all this he'd be playing right now with Jasper and Meeks injured.

Clyde can't coach, at UK!
