Devils eyeing salary cap cuts

08:50 AM ET 07.02 | Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello said he soon will shed some players to satisfy the salary cap that is a Devils' issue again. One possibility might be Bryce Salvador, who sat out last season with a concussion and a $2.9 million cap hit. Brian Rolston's $5.1 million hit remains on the books, as does the $3.4 million salary of Dainius Zubrus and some teams need costly players to reach the cap floor. Buyouts, trades, retirements and waiver demotions are the possible routes.

Come on FN, don't you realize that Nard Dog isn't here on the weekends and the rest of us don't care?

Anything else happen yesterday? I guess not.

Saw where Boucher went to the Canes. So now the Flyers have Bobky, Bryz and Leighton.

Montreal picked up Budja. That surprised me. I didn't think they were that desperate for goaltending and that cheap.
