10:21 AM ET 07.02 | The Dodgers must let Tom Schieffer resume his job as the league-appointed trustee, a bankruptcy attorney representing the commissioner's office has demanded. The Dodgers are unlikely to agree, which could lead to a showdown on the issue in bankruptcy court. In the bankruptcy case, Dodgers owner Frank McCourt is essentially challenging the powers of the commissioner's office, including those within the MLB constitution.

Question: Can the Commissioner revoke the franchise (with a unanimous decision of all the other MLB or National League owners?
That would maybe make sense: Revoke the franchise, making Chavez Ravine an even bigger albatross for Frank "Take Me To" McCourt, and re-issue the franchise so that they can play in Anaheim (surely the Big A can accommodate two MLB clubs with some creative scheduling) for a season while Mr. McDork ... er, McCourt ... is foreclosed on. Then the new RESPONSIBLE owners could purchase one of the NL's most storied institutions and the ballpark for enough of a saving to insure long-term viability.
Anyone out there "in the know" if this might be an option?

Frank McCourt is the worst kind of individual. I understand that he is a clueless, undeserving, mongoloid type of business executive, thus making him somewhat normal for that genre of parasite. Not just that, take it a step further - He elevated his wife to a high management position, siphoned off money from team coffers into his own wallet like he wasn't accountable to share holders of the fans, continues to besmirch the legacy of all Dodgers including Tommy Lasorda and doesn't have the tenure to make a MLB owner groupie swoon!!! Now he is literally hanging on by his fingernails, in a frivolous and malicious attempt to indefinitely defame the honorable pastime we call America's game, during our most celebrated of national holidays - the Fourth of July, the celebration of our nations independence!?! No shame in his game, that's for sure :[

There's already plenty of legal wording in the owner's contract that stipulates that the commissioner can seize the team if he deems it's in the best interest of the club and for baseball. A few owners have tried to sue baseball over the years (including Steinbrenner), but none have succeeded. The language is pretty strong in the league policy that MLB is ultimately in control of every team, not the owners.

the giants score 15 runs against the hitless tigers this is the first game that the giants score more than five runs in a game, the tigers will need to use verlander more often perhaps every other day so they can really be able to compete!!!

Funny how Selig likes to bust McCourt who apparently cannot balance his checkbook, which Selig knew about before approving the sale of the Dodgers to him. But his lunch buddies, the Wilpons, can engage in Ponzi schemes with impunity.
