07:08 AM ET 07.05 | Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes delivered a brutal assessment of Arsenal ahead of the upcoming season. "Arsenal just flatter to deceive. They may play the prettiest football, but it doesn't always produce results, does it?" said Scholes. "It doesn't irritate me that people keep going on about them being the best footballing team because while they are doing that, we are winning games. They do play the best football to watch at times, but what is the point if you are not winning anything?"

In other non-Manchester United news, German Under-17's sink England on the way to World Cup semi-finals where they are set to play host nation Mexico.
Also, Samed Yesil now has scored 18 goals in 19 matches for the Germany U-17's. Time to call him up to the full squad before he decides he's actually Turkish?
Also, one of my all-time favorite players, Hasan Salihamidzic has finally left Juventus and returned to the Bundesliga, signing with Magath's Wolfsburg. Not sure he has much left in the tank, but I look forward to watching him play once again.
