10:08 AM ET 07.09 | Alabama's newest wide receiver has arrived in Tuscaloosa, but he will not begin taking classes at the university until August. "I'M HERE!!!!!!" Duron Carter tweeted Friday morning. Carter, who is transferring from Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College, signed a grant-in-aid with Alabama. He had signed a letter-of-intent with Ohio State.) He then will participate in preseason practices that will start in early August. Being admitted for the fall semester is not a concern, the source said.

I have to wait and see what we got before I have anything to say about this kid. I liked his dad though.

Phillip Sims was the top rated QB out of high school. Yes, I think there is a QB there.

Apparently. If he liked green he would have gone to the other school in the same state.

They have to pay your dad or a church, and his dad has money don't know if he goes to church.

Sims needs time, McCarron isn't looking strong I don't like the qb situation at all. Don't get me wrong they both have talent they just look nervous all the time right now.

Seems his dad didn't pass some of his work habits and character down....from what I've read.

That's pretty much what I have heard I hope his dad passed those hands down that would help.

July 9, 2011  12:24 PM ET

Was he ever really a Buckeye?

Char actar ummm do you remember cc in college

How fitting that he'd go to an SEC school where a 0.0 GPA still is somehow eligible to play.

July 9, 2011  02:00 PM ET

I'll give him 2 quarters to become ineligible again, like he did at Ohio State.

July 9, 2011  02:54 PM ET

Quick give him a standardized reading test before the shenanigans start. I'll bet he can't read or write but he doesn't have to, this is the SEC.

July 9, 2011  02:57 PM ET

Here is a tip son" GO TO SCHOOL" that is the reason you are allowed to play the game. You can't have one without the other. Lets hope you learned a valuable lesson. You have embarassed your parents once don't do it again.Saban will not tolerate you not going to class.
