As Luck would have it: A Pac-12 title

08:11 AM ET 07.11 | Andrew Luck, in Thibodaux, La., working at the Manning Passing Academy, was simply not ready to leave Stanford. "So why not come back?" But what about the money -- even if the expected NFL labor settlement will net him significantly less than $78 million, $50 million of it guaranteed, that 2010 top pick Sam Bradford received? "Whatever it is, it'll be there," Luck said. "I really can't get my arms around what the difference is." ... [Given] Oregon's ever-widening trouble in the Willie Lyles case, [Stanford] can be considered the favorite in the expanded Pac-12, especially with the Ducks coming to Palo Alto on Nov. 12. "We talk a lot more about being Pac-12 champions than national champs," said Luck, although adding he wouldn't mind getting a peek at the Superdome.

If this be the case, the new coach needs to spend some time with Les Miles!

It's refreshing to read about a kid with his head on straight.

Luck must take after his mother in decision making.

Definitly smarter than he looks!

I'm rooting for Stanford to win it for sure.

We will grow completely and utterly sick (some of us already have) of the puns on the name Luck.

Maybe he could transfer some of his wisdom to his dad's head coach. He doesn't seem to have his head on straight...and never has.

LUS, who cares if the Quacks beat Stanford or not, as long as the Ducks beat the Tigers then everything will be "Ducky". LOL.

Great story......CFB needs more like this. BTH out of kids getting arrested, schools getting caught, and coaches getting fired......might make the 12-Pac watchable......:-)
