08:02 AM ET 07.15 | Say it ain't so, Joe. According to an interview on the University of Alabama-Birmingham web site, Vikings QB Joe Webb has been working out with none other than *former Vikings QB Brett Favre for the past few weeks down in Hattiesburg. What did Webb have to say about that? "It's great to have a person like that as my contact," Webb said. OK, that's good Joe. Very true. Just stop there, right? "He can still sling it." Nooooooooooooooooooooooo. The last thing this soon-to-be-post-lockout NFL needs is the notion that Favre could still play in the league. ... While we're still convinced Favre is done, history has shown us approximately 1,000 times that it's never a sure thing.

Oh great. A Favre thread.

Maybe Daniel Snyder will throw 12 million at Farve and a cheerleader of his choice and then Mcnabb and Farve can swap teams.

"He can still sling it." Is he talking about a football, or something else?

I knew it was coming...it was in the air, you could smell it before you could see it....kind of like a farm on a country road.

It can't be Favre... he usually has nothing to do with his back-ups.

Deanna must still be really pissed at him.

July 15, 2011  08:16 AM ET

Man, we really need a CBA. At least another Police Blotter story.

Where do you think she found comfort in the cold, dark, lonely Minnesota nights when the Jen Sterger texting scandal broke?

Agreed, you could sense it. It is that time of year when the air is warm and moist like Jen's loins. Ergo, Favre comes out of hiding in search of his ego and libido fix. Daughters, lock up your cellphones.

I guess it's too soon for another installment of "The Adventures of Pacman Jones at the Scrip Club"...

Too funny. That was my exact thought, when I read the title.

Well Joe... you just sealed your fate. You are despised.

July 15, 2011  09:01 AM ET

When will he give it up?!? Elway was the only smart one - he was on top and walked away.

It's getting closer to the lockout ending... Just a matter of time before this guys name gets tossed around.

July 15, 2011  09:09 AM ET

Best picture of him I've seen in a while, though.

That's why we have the lockout. Owners want to keep Favre out! Has nothing to do with the CBA. This may be the only way to stop him.
