09:04 AM ET 07.17 | Al Golden isn't the only Miami coach drawing praise for aggressive local recruiting. Although basketball coach Jim Larranaga doesn't yet have any 2012 oral commitments, "he's doing a better job of recruiting South Florida" than Frank Haith did, said Oakland Park Northeast coach Gerald Gillion. "Frank did it, but Coach Larranaga's staff has reached out more." UM and South Carolina are among contenders for Northeast power forward Demetrius Henry (Rivals' top-rated South Florida player in the 2012 class and 78th overall) and Krop's Tyrone Haughton (ESPN's 23rd-best center).

Try 106-108. Mine looked like the national debt...and no relief in sight.

We may have a cool spell and it will hit 98-99 next week. But that comes with some potential rain so the hummididity will be crazy.

As native Texans we are normally used to this God awful heat...but this year has been absolutely ridiculous. It started in early May instead of waiting until mid summer. Enough already.
