McCoy earns more respect in Cleveland

10:21 AM ET 07.17 | No one has talked about it, but the four "Camp Colts" could have been a disaster for quarterback Colt McCoy. After all, who is McCoy to try and organize and run practices? He's started eight games, been in the NFL for one season. But the young Browns quarterback pulled it off, and gained even more respect from his teammates. Rather than come across as bossy, he was quietly confident and communicated a lot with the players in between each camp so that they had a sense of working together.

Want respect? win a third game!

Browns...respect--two words that do not belong in the same paragraph, much less sentence. He caved under pressure at Texass, will cave in Cleveland.

Ah...A 'Calvin Coolidge'-type of analyst. I like it.

Caved under pressure?! What are you talking about? I don't remember him caving. His won/loss record sure doesn't indicate it.

Caved under the pressure...really? I guess it was just a fluke that McCoy finished his college career with more W's than anyone else and what was McCoy's record against Ok State during his four years at Texas?

Now if Cleveland can get rid of those awful uniforms and get a defense, they actually could contend.

Sounds like this kid might have what it takes between the ears. I hope he becomes a good pro QB. Cleveland fans deserve a break.

Colt is a stud. He is the all time most winningest QB at Texas. You do not pull that off at one of the elite football schools without being a leader. He has the skills, desire, work ethic, intellect, and leadership to be a winner in the NFL. It will happen. Fortunately, he also has a great GM that knows how to develop great talent.

- Ummm...the best QB on the roster? Someone who wants to win?

Why would anyone question a players (I don't care if it was Phil Dawson) desire help his team get better?
