Delhomme could be backing up Tebow

08:02 AM ET 07.18 | Under one scenario, the Broncos may look to set up a new QB regime, beginning with a trade of Kyle Orton. Denver will then look to sign Jake Delhomme as a mentor once he's released by the Browns. This isn't the first time we've heard the Delhomme-to-Denver rumors; he was close with [John Fox] when both were in Carolina. ... It also means that what Fox said last month -- the QB job is wide open among Tebow, Orton and Brady Quinn ("I've said it before and I mean it: It'll be a competition.") -- may still be technically true, but if Orton is traded, Tebow would have to have a miserable training camp for the Broncos to go into the year with Quinn under center. In fact, we don't think Tebow could play poorly enough to lose the gig.

really awesome I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. This move makes sense.

Does make sense. I think Jake would be a good mentor, and still has some ability to come in if needed due to injury.

That makes sense to me. I've rarely seen a guy be so spoken about with so many opinions and labels thrust at him before he even gets a chance to make it happen.

Still, those freaking interns are mocking us with that picture. I'm hungover and grumpy.

John Fox is sending ex-Panthers to Denver. LOL

I know, right? SMH

Dear John Fox,

Please announce that Tim Tebow is the starter so that the interns have to find a picture of him actually playing football.

Thank you.

Scenario 1: Orton gets traded and the Bronkeys sign Jake the Fake. Tebow can't cut it. Jake can't cut it. Brady Quinn can't either. 3-13.

Scenario 2: Orton gets traded and the Bronkeys sign Jake the Fake. Tebow plays well, but forgets he's in the NFL, tries to convert a meaningless broken play and gets clobbered. Jake can't cut it. Brady Quinn can't either. 6-10.

Scenario 3: Orton gets traded, Bronco's sign Jake. Tebow gets hurt, Jake stinks, Quinn becomes the NFL MVP 13-3.

Oops, gotta go. The nice nurses are hear with the meds.

Sorry... I got carried away.

Well, in defense of the interns of running that same picture of Tebow in a suit, he hasn't played much ina Broncos uniform yet.....at least in a game. WHich is why the subject line is soooo wrong. Until they start playing games, Tebow is #3 on the Bronocs depth chart.

I guess Terrelle Pryor is always an option... LOL
