McGrady in Boston makes too much sense

Beyond Boston's need for size this offseason, its other needs include: a veteran ball-handler, bench scoring and a player that can defend on the wing. The 6-foot-8 McGrady does all of that -- all to a decent level at this point of his career -- and at a potential bargain basement price. ... The idea of leaning on him as a second-unit ball-handler when Rajon Rondo is off the court is intriguing -- far more so than any of the veteran point guards available, regardless of whether the team brings back Delonte West. Add in McGrady's time with Doc Rivers in Orlando and the move almost makes too much sense.

I guess he could come off the bench?
I mean they just got rid of Shaq who kept the bench warm so I guess they need someone else to fill that position and talk to the ALWAYS injured Jermaine Milk Dud head....

At this point all T-Mac wants is to be on a team that will make the playoffs - He's made his money so yeah this makes sense even though he's nowhere a semblance of the player he used to be.

He stayed healthy last season for Detroit. So long as Beantown knows they're getting a veteran McGrady, he can contribute.

I have to say...I would do it if I was Boston and got a good price for him. He really did a good job on a bad team here in Detroit. He would clearly be an upgrade on what they have on that bench.

They do need to get younger, I agree. They also need to rebuild the frontline. That said, doesn't mean they shouldn't sign McGrady. He'll come real cheap and can help this team.
