Messier's son working in juniors
In his short, 10-game span in the United States Hockey League, Lyon Messier has become a fan favorite, and not just because of his famous name. Mark Messier is the NHL's second all-time leading scorer behind Wayne Gretzky. Messier's 20-year-old son is a defenseman. He plays the game with heart and is devoted to his team. He skates with precision and hits hard. Junior teams range in age from 16 to 20 and only can keep a limited number of over-age players, so Lyon's roster spot was sacrificed for a different position player even though he was playing well. This season, Lyon has been "traded" by the Edmonton Oil Kings and Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League and the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League.

Sounds like Lyon doesn't have enough of his pops in him. Momma's boy? Already a suitcase and only 20? Say it ain't so Moose, say it ain't so!

Wait until he teams up with Gretzky's son.
You know, the one that looks like a girl.

I watched him in Erie, there is a reason he didn't stick around, and if he couldn't cut it on that team, which was horrible, his chances anywhere are dim
