Campbell can't quit Chicago

08:28 AM ET 07.19 | Somewhat understandably -- what, with that Stanley Cup and all -- Brian Campbell will miss the Blackhawks. The veteran defenseman will suit up for the Florida Panthers this fall, after he was traded there in mid-June. But Campbell, who has been working out recently at the United Center, is making Chicago his permanent summer residence. He can't completely break the bond to his Blackhawks teammates or Chicago, which is also home to his fiancee. "I made a lot of good friends. It's tough to leave when you have that; but with those people, they're friends you'll have for life," said Campbell, who was playing in Denis Savard's charity golf tournament on Monday.

With luck, the Panthers will relocate somewhere closer to Chicago soon, Brian. Hang in there.

No. Tallon knew Campbell and wanted him. Lou and Sather know Gomez and want no part of him, especially at that ridiculous price. No-one else does. They should just dump him and move on.

Was it Canuck the other day who said "I find it amazing that even after posts have been flagged, they can still stay in quote form"? They caught on..

Yes on all counts, quite sadly...

LOL! No, nothing that drastic (although the idea has a certain appeal). I had the AHL in mind. Let him ride the bus to Hershey and Syracuse and sleep in Motel 6s for all I care.

send him with some sort of incentive...like stipu;ate a clause by which Gomez will make tacos for everyone on the team every wednesday through the season.

Motel 6 sounds a little bit too classy. Make him sleep in the bus and feed off of vending machines.

It originates in Kingston, Ontario. Therefore, anglais.

Can't see MTL NOT doing that. Seriously, how can you justify to fans that you're serious about contending with this bastion of waste on your bench?

Don't. Why call London 'Londres' or Philadelphia 'Philadelphie'? Every language does that to the same of some places.

An improvement on my original suggestion. I like it.

Ed Zachary. I don't even want them to cut his ice time. I want off the team.
