08:04 AM ET 07.19 | The Cardinals, who may pay dearly for a new quarterback, believe they have much to offer that quarterback in return. That's one of the things Ken Whisenhunt has said this offseason after the club passed on drafting a quarterback in April. Arizona is in the market for a quarterback when the new league year begins, and it sounds like the Cardinals are preparing to offer plenty for a new quarterback. [According to a report] Kevin Kolb is the passer the Cardinals are poised to pursue. ... [The Cardinals] are prepared to offer cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie "straight up" for Kolb. ... The Eagles are believed to be seeking help at cornerback.

Yup, but you've got to report Doris. And you have to pee in a cup and pass the test. Is it worth it?

Andy Reid wants more. He wants Rodgers-Cromartie AND a large pepperoni pizza.

Yes, but you get to miss out on the hoopla that normally accompanies the first post. Even if it's spam.

DRC is in the fourth year of a five year contract. His base salary for 2011 is $950,000. owner Bidwell makes the miserly look like wild spenders.
Kolb, a career backup with no resume worth printing is looking for a minimum $30 million guaranteed contract ( supposedly ).
Rodgers-Cromartie replacement in FA would cost a lot more than that. The guy is small, fast, can cover and is considered soft and cannot tackle. It may help the Eagles awful CB tandem in the passing game, but makes the run game worse.
I don't see it happening. Not at all.
