Angels out of luck on Ramirez ... until August?

08:10 AM ET 07.19 | Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez doesn't have to go anywhere. [Ramirez] is on the Angels' wish list, but as of now he is unwilling to approve any trade, according to his agent, Paul Kinzer. However, Ramirez's stance could change once his wife and children return to the Dominican Republic for the start of school, something that probably will not occur until August, according to Kinzer. "I don't see it happening," Kinzer said of a deal before the July 31 non-waiver deadline. "When his family goes back, and his kids go back to school, that could possibly loosen it up. As of now, he has no interest. He loves Chicago. He always wanted to finish his career there."

I went to that cool website and got three new viruses that I've never seen before for free!

This is just Ramirez' agent making sure his client gets something nice out of any deal that might happen..."no man sells my carcass unless I get half".

I like how the spammers have adapted and have started using the quote feature to make it sound like an attractive deal.

I have watched Ramirez for years. Lazy. Solid numbers, so people think he's a basher, but his stats are mostly hollow -- he never gets them under pressure. Look at his postseason stats -- pathetic. Not a guy you want in August & September, much less October. So I hope he waives his no-trade so we can get something for this lazy bum.

The Cubbies are the perfect team for Ramirez. He thrives on low expectations.

July 19, 2011  06:11 PM ET

the angels are always the last team to try to get some elite player but what would be the price to pay? i mean bourjo's and chats wood? for ramirez? or galaspo and bourjo's ramirez? hard to tell the angels are a well known team who mosf the times they give more than what they get in return!!

July 19, 2011  06:15 PM ET

maybe the angels should try to get some in/outfielders from the royals, perhaps buttler or the lefty starter chen, as we know the halos don't have any starter as lefty, the only one they use to had it was kazmir an he its gone for good!!

This retread has worn out his welcome. Send the bum to Iowa City.

OMG, you are the perfect man for me. I love a man with low expectations!!!

if the angels do trade for this player, this type of deal it seems that it will backfired towards angels plans, let's not forget that this player its more injury -prone than five years ago!!

July 19, 2011  09:40 PM ET

could the halos search for better options? if at least they would shop for another starter with better performs and more durability at the mound ? perhaps a pitcher injury free would be a plus for this halos!!!

if the yankees want soria, the royals would like to get two starters from the yankees, but does the royals wanted minor leaguers pitchers? or a well developing pitchers???
