Islanders eye Ducks dilemma

Like every other team in the NHL, the Islanders are waiting to find out what deal Anaheim's Brian Burke will make to accommodate the return of star defenseman Scott Niedermayer under the salary cap. Indications are the Ducks might move a defenseman such as Francois Beauchemin, Mathieu Schneider or Sean O'Donnell. Because of their offensive problems, the Isles could use help at left wing or center, but the defending Cup champion Ducks already have been shut out six times this season and can't afford to part with Chris Kunitz or Andy McDonald.

Of course its a defensemen that's moving. About the only forwards they can afford to move are checking/defensive ones and that hardly helps the Isles at this point. I still think the best option is Atlanta getting Schneider for some young potential offensive weapon. Enstrom and Schneider on the blueline together would be intriguing.
