08:03 AM ET 07.20 | According to John Harbaugh, the Bears botched more than their draft-day trade; they botched ethics. "I'm not buying a 'mistake' thing," Harbaugh told "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on WMVP-AM 1000. "They knew what they were doing." The Bears had told the Ravens they would trade their 29th overall pick and fourth-rounder (127th overall) for the 26th pick in an effort to ensure they landed offensive lineman Gabe Carimi ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs, who had the 27th pick. The deal fell through at the last minute when the Bears failed to contact the NFL to consummate the deal. The Ravens were livid and demanded compensation, but Bears general manager Jerry Angelo said only that "a mistake was made" and no rules were broken.

Sour grapes Bro...

Funny how they can't put a picture of John up here but they can beat us to death with the picture of his brother's teeth.

From what I remember, everyone got who they wanted, anyway.

July 20, 2011  08:18 AM ET

The Bears did long dick them with that move.

July 20, 2011  08:19 AM ET

I am wondering how many other teams have done this?

July 20, 2011  08:21 AM ET

This was a story during the draft. We read about it then. Why are they repeating such old news?

Next thing you know, they'll tell us Generalissimo Francisco Franco is dead. With a picture of Jim Harbaugh and his glorious incisors, of course.

"Waddle and Silvy"? Sounds like what I feel like after a wild Saturday night.

It's the thought that counts. Maybe the thought of some form of compensation in this case.

Harbaugh has too much time on his hands. End the lockout so he can focus on something else.

Yeah, he could be the next one on Police Blotter. End the lockout and get him off the street.

News is sounding good on that, though.

We established that yesterday. It's an offensive term to good ol' boys, who as we all know are very sensitive about what people think of them and do everything they can to improve their image.
