08:04 AM ET 07.21 | Working with a budget was a little easier in 2010. Once the collective bargaining agreement is signed and the league is up and operating, teams have to return to the days of getting under the cap. The 2011 cap is going to be at $120 million, and there figure to be several cap casualties, particularly because the 2009 cap was at $128 million. ... 1. New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush: The Saints want to keep him. Bush says he wants to stay. The numbers just don't work. Bush is scheduled to make $11.8 million this year and has a bloated $16 million cap number. The Saints have $11.7 million of cap room. Something has to give. They also have 26 unrestricted free agents. Cutting or trading him would free up $12.5 million.

Trading him? Since everyone else is also going to have to deal with the lower cap, who would want him at that price?

Sorry, Reggie. Start painting your "Will Run For Food" sign.

The story here is the teams over and under the cap. The Cowboys and Giants are over by significant numbers. Many teams are sooo far under they will have to throw money at people to reach the " floor."
Makes you wonder what all those teams that were up to 60 million under the old cap did with all that money ? Revenue sharing made them all guaranteed profitable.

Redskins will have Peyton Manning, Reggie Bush, Nnamdi dude, and Randy Moss.

The idiots on both sides of the negotiating table are as completely stupid as the tools in the Congress. What in the hell is wrong with using normal math in this crap.

Cap hit (should)= salary.....period. This is as bad as our ridiculous federal tax code. KISS, no game-playing. How much trouble do private companies get into when they start this kind of 'voodoo' accounting?

None whatsoever! In fact, the government comes in and bails them out so they can continue paying big money to their executives!
