Limited interest for Randy Moss?

08:12 AM ET 07.24 | No matter what kind of shape Randy Moss is in, he might not find much interest on the open market. There are a few reasons for it, based on conversations with coaches and front office men. The first is Moss, who always has been somewhat of a specialist as a route runner, is more limited in the route tree than ever at the age of 34. "He can only run -- a go, corner and a post now," one personnel director said. "Maybe a hitch."

Surprised if there is any interest. Game over.

I was about to say... "limited" interest would be an overstatement.

I am with you on this one. He was done last year. Who wants his act? Not enough to back it up anymore.

Even if he was in great shape from the neck down, more people are worried about what's happening from the neck up.

It only takes one idiot to want him and unfortunately there is more than one out there...but I would love to see his lazy rear sitting at home in a chair all year...fingers crossed.

Nah - It's his age. The NFL has proven time - and time again - that if you have the body (or ability) of a freakish athlete...you're allowed to be a cinder block, upstairs.

Randy is in great shape, there will be takers, if his ego will accept lower pay, just saying...

This is what happens when you rely too heavily on your athletic ability, and not enough on your brains - age kills your career early.

You are 100 percent correct.

And - I have no doubt that his ego's "lifestyle" will decide that, whatever his highest offer ends up being, it's much better than zero.

The question is...will it be on the field - or in a cushy studio?

July 24, 2011  10:32 AM ET

Too bad he's not very respectful to others when he a) Opens his mouth b) Thinks c) takes action ... we could go on and on. If he was, he could have someone interested. It's always been "Me, myself, and I. Screw the rest of you" with him.

I thought the Jets were chompin' at the bit to sign him? Huh...oh well.

I don't care how great of shape he's in.

Dude has lost a step - at least one... maybe more - and can't go get the ball anymore.

He's done.

since we have a Moss AND Farve thread....if you need both a QB and WR for this year..which one would you rather have if salary wasn't a problem? Think I'd go with Farve...at least I know "when" he showed up he'd give my all he had (interceptions and all...lol)

Karma is a bitch, Randy.

You are thinking of Plax.

Actually no. That would be Philly. Honestly, if Braylon goes (and as a Wolverines and Jets fan I will personally drive the dude to the airport to get him away from here) I would want Randy Moss as a Jet. Why not? I think Rex would be able to get the guy to play.

Moss? Wow, J Hova. I saw what he could do to a team with my Raiders. And last year was an EPIC fail.

There goes SI again, trying to revive a dead horse.

Someone will be willing to give him a chance -- being a Redskins fan, I'm sure Danny boy will want to throw some money at him since he collects players like football cards. "Eeewww, now I have a Randy Moss!"
