09:33 AM ET 07.24 | Pistons guard Ben Gordon is one of four players who will continue to get paid if the NBA lockout stretches into the upcoming season. All are clients of agent Raymond Brothers, who spread their 2010-11 NBA salaries over 18 or 24 months in case the lockout forces the cancellation of games. The others are Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph, Mavericks forward Caron Butler and Clippers forward Al-Farouq Aminu.

WHY ? .... it is a Bad Move really .... read it again ; agent Raymond Brothers, who spread their 2010-11 (Last Season) NBA salaries over 18 or 24 months. .....
So the players are collecting LAST season pay ....
So it would be like a Company paying you 30 Hours for 40 hours of Work .... and paying the other 10 hours Later .... after they Lay you Off ....

See as it Detroit News, we will use Ben Gordon .... last season $10.8m ...
over 12 months = $900,000,
over 18 months = $600,000,
over 24 months = $450,000 ....
Man, how bad are you at Not spending it ALL .... just put 33% of the $900k away for a Lockout Fund ...

Correct, Ben could have been earning interest on the 8 million. This just shows us that NBA players can't trust themselves to control they're spending. The owners will win this labor agreement.

Gordon was never the savior for the Bulls. Most of his time in Chicago he can off the bench, and when Chris Duhon and Kirk Hinrich are starting over you that shows what the origination really thought of Ben.
I do agree on the Eddie House comparison.

Kover-Brewer, I really would. Kover is a better shooter and taller, Brewer is a great defender and taller. I never regretted the Bulls letting Gordon go.

The Bulls are paying Kover 4 million a season and Gordon is getting 11. That would have limited Chicago in the offseason and going forward.
It's wasn't that Ben didn't have value, just not 11 million a season.

These guys are thanking their agents for having great foresight. I guess none of these guys will entertain the overseas option since they are getting paid.
