09:54 AM ET 07.25 | Newcastle United left back Jose Enrique has attacked the club's transfer policy claiming that if they continue in the same manner they will never manage the top-six finish in the Premier League. Writing on his Twitter feed, first in Spanish then in English, Enrique said: "The club is allowing all the major players of the team to go. Seriously, do you think it is the fault of the players? Andy [Carroll], nobby [Kevin Nolan] etc etc. This club will never again fight to be among the top six again with this policy."

I find it funny that Joey Barton was not allowed into the USA with Newcastle.

Perhaps dude, the club needs to worry about some financials first before they start to build up towards a "top six" finish.

July 25, 2011  10:12 AM ET

By the way- who the hell is Jose Enrique.

July 25, 2011  10:12 AM ET

Newcastle? Top 6?

LOL

ROFL

ROFLMAO

EPL Top 6 (in no particular order): Trafford United, Manchester City, Chelski, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool

I don't see that being broken any time soon.

Isn't Enrique's statement too many characters for a Twitter post?

He is Newcastle's left back. Come on man, read the article.

The fire looked half way descent against ManU. It was not the thumping Seattle took.

I think you have external links that allow you to send Tweets in excess of Twitter's character limit.

There were more than the usual amount of drunk, idiotic, hipster, young 20-somethings at the DCU/Everton game.

There were three unsuccessful abortions in front of me that kept on trying to start a chant of "F.U., U.K.!".

Behind me was another idiot would kept on screaming, at intermittent intervals, "There's only one Ricky Hatton!". I didn't even want to put forth the effort to let this guy know that Ricky Hatton is a huge Man City fan (His Dad played for the club) and he was born and raised in Manchester. Would have gone right over his head.

There was a fair number of Everton supporters in my section. The ones right in front of me just looked on and laughed, and shook their head a bit. No wonder some foreigners think Americans are complete idiots.

A big congratulations goes out to The Crew Juniors U-20 team for winning back-to-back USL Super-20 national titles. They defeated Toronto Lynx 4-1 yesterday.
