Just a week ago the fans staged a big protest in his favor, chanting his name. I can only imagine what the Kop was singing Saturday when Reading hammered us.
Rafa has had some big wins, but some incredible losses. He seems to be one of those manager who thinks too damn much, with this rotation policy. As a Liverpool supporter, I can't say I support sacking him right now...but I wouldn't be crying in my pint.

I saw that game and was shocked at the result. Much like my dismay at Arsenal going down to Boro. Rafa however is in more trouble than Wenger. If he doesn't have good results in the CL, he's gone.

if Rafa doesn't win these next 2 matches, I'm 75% sure he'll be more than done.
losing to Man Utd. almost certainly is a big blow for them in the BPL and if they lose to Marseille, that makes them a far stretch for CL
funny how all the liverpool supporters were bashing Man Utd and the rest of the premier league, only after the first 3 weeks.
look how the tables have turned now

I'm sure Arena will want this job also.

If we lose the next two games I think Rafa is in big trouble, the Reading loss was troubling and makes the ManU game a must win, but we were denied three penalties, while Reading was awarded a very controversial one that turned the game upside down. Nevertheless, the defense was shockingly poor and Reading took advantage of their chances, something we failed to do. Even if Rafa is sacked, which I don't see happening, as I think we will win the next two, I don't see Klinsy getting the job, I think Mourinho will be the number one target assuming that he has the clause in his buyout that allows him to go to Anfield, with Capello the 2nd choice. Like I said though, I hope to everything that is holy, that this is all moot after Tuesday and this weekend.
Kopper what did you think of Rafa's decision to basically concede the game at the 70 minute mark by taking off Gerrard and Torres?

didn't Jose have that clause in his contract that prohibited him from coaching for the rest of this yr in the premier league?

im not a fan of what rafa is doing with the lineup. ive always liked him, but not a fan this year. for example, against reading gerrard was lined up on the wing with sissoko in the middle and kewell on the bench. Put Stevie G in the middle where he can have a bigger impact on the game, bench sissoko, and play kewell or babel on the wings, no?

He always said NT coaching is an oldman's game, I really think Mourinho is holding is holding out for one of the big 3 jobs in Italy (likely AC Milan) or the Liverpool job, I'm surprised he didn't stall a week to make this statement.

Mystate,
He supposedly has a clause in the buyout that allows him to take one of the other Big Four jobs in the Prem (ManU, Arsenal, Liverpool-with Liverpool only seen as the likely destination), where these team pay Chelsea a substantial fee (around 10-15 million pounds if I remember correctly) and then he can take the job. This has been reported in the British press and places like WSD, so take it with a grain of salt.
Oh and Sissoko was terrible again against Reading, if we were going to go with Gerrard on the wing, we should have played Lucas instead.

At my chosen game I play with people from all over the world, which means soccer/fusbol/football is their country's favorite game in most cases - I believe there is a subtle side of soccer that is lost to most USA fans of sports. Ask &%#$@ if he follows hockey for the play or for the fighting next time he says something. If he says fighting you'll know what you're dealing with.

KopHawk83, I didn't see the match, so I'm not sure. My guess is he was resting them a bit for Tuesday because he saw no chance of getting even a draw. But I hate the idea of conceding the match because this sure does lessen any chance at the EPL title.

Klinsy wouldn't stay that long at Liverpool. Not so sure why Liverpool would want to boot Rafa. Not so sure they can do better than where they are in the EPL table anyway.

Rafa is a good manager. It will be another team's gain if Pool fires him, because another team is going to snap him up in a second.
