08:04 AM ET 07.28 | The numbers weren't working in Reggie Bush's favor, and he may now have a way out of New Orleans. A surprising trade has popped up in this hectic NFL week. FOXSports.com has learned that the Saints and Dolphins have agreed to terms of a trade that would send [Bush] to Miami. The deal is still contingent upon Bush's agent Joel Segal working out a new contract with the Dolphins. Bush is also still deciding whether he wants to take the deal. It is unclear what the Saints are receiving in return. New Orleans had no intention of keeping Bush this season under the terms of his current contract -- an $11.8 million base salary and a cap figure of $16 million.

Nice. Some timely stories from the interns for a change.

Reggie should consider taking what he's offered. If he thinks he's getting anything close to what he was scheduled to receive in NO, he's going to be really disappointed.

Yes it is, and it feels GREAT!!!

I don't see Bush having great success in the AFC East

Miami is a bikini town. Bush would have to accept a very trimmed role. And he'd better hope opposing defenses don't wax him.

"New Orleans had no intention of keeping Bush this season under the terms of his current contract -- an $11.8 million base salary and a cap figure of $16 million."

That, plus a (genuine) Heisman Trophy winner coming on board at the same position.

Now Orton to Miami will be a reality and the Saints won't make the playoffs.

not ready to count them out as yet....but ATL and Tampa have narrowed the gap for supremacy in the division.....

I don't see the connection, but okay.

More stories about Chad Henne crying are waiting to be written.

"The deal is still contingent upon Bush's agent Joel Segal working out a new contract with the Dolphins." He thinks he is worth more then 11 million. Thats just funny because he not even worth 8 million. I love how greedy people are.

Morning, NFL fans...

As a newbie to the NFL threads, please be kind to my often uneducated posts. I'm coming over from the NBA due to it's being excessively lame (no season, no good threads other than the obligatory LeBron James/Miami Heat bashing). I've been reading your posts; you guys are quick witted and go for the jugular most of the time, so have mercy on this character for at least a day.

Having said that, here's the question for the day: Who will win the entire enchillada? My pick is Steel Curtain. Seems to me, from reading the stories, that they really haven't lost too much in trades/retirements, and have more or less kept their core team intact. What do you educated football pundits think? <Cringes for the onslaught of replies...>

This used to be Kim Kardashian's Bush. He's probably too worn out to contribute anymore.

July 28, 2011  09:14 AM ET

What do the Saints get in return? Kim Kardashian and a year's supply of penicillin.

Yes! Feels like waling into an all-you-can-eat buffet after being on a starvation died for three months.
