Bears already facing chemistry issues

07:45 AM ET 07.29 | With Greg Olsen out, it's now up to the Bears to move on. It's easy for me to see why the Bears would unload a player they never understood how to use. But based on several conversations, it has been harder for Olsen's former teammates to accept. ... Besides heads shaking over Olsen's trade, [Lovie Smith] will welcome veterans wondering why the Bears have yet to lock up popular teammates Olin Kreutz and Anthony Adams. Running back Matt Forte has hinted at the h-word -- holdout -- and wants a raise. Other teammates probably do too. And Robbie Gould took a veiled swipe at special teams coordinator Dave Toub while addressing punter Brad Maynard's exit during a Halas Hall news conference. Are the Bears going to issue pacifiers with their playbooks?

Jerry Angelo needs to get off his arse and start using some of the cap space they have. Unless his plan is to waiting until there are nothing but the Blue Light Specials that are left... which is what he does most years.

July 29, 2011  07:57 AM ET

Pffft...

I don't believe this. With the leadership skills of Jay Cutler, he'll pull them all together very soon.

hmmppf ... I like that pic of Lovie, he look sin command ya know, even though he isn't ;) All thye need to do is to sign Plax, bring in Moss, and let her rip!!! DA BEARS!!!

Suppose McNabb has a great year. Suppose Stafford doesn't get hurt all season. Suppose the Pack is as good as they were last year.

Suppose the Bears could finish last in the NFC North?

Or maybe the Pack could finish last in the NFC North?

Okay, not likely, but it's nice to dream...

No, not likely at all. But with all the uncertainty around the rest of that division, they'll be fun to watch this year.

That's a lot of supposing going on. I'd say suppose pigs fly to the first two ............ I'd suppose the Pack will win more games than 2010.

But I suppose if the Bears finish last in 2011 they'll need a suppository to rid themselves of Angelo and Smith.

Da Bears!

The Pack should take the division and after that it's a toss-up. So, yeah...the Bears could finish last.

Yeah. After I heard about my Pats getting Ocho, I've been in Fantasyland thinking both he and Fat Albert would be awesome.

Packers - Bears - Lions - Vikings in that order. Somewhere in the NFL, pigs WILL fly. It happens every year, but it's not going to be in this division.

Jay Cutler likes men on and off the field. Who in their right mind dumps kristin cavallari.. yeah a homosexual would. As long as he's under center this team is destined for an 8-8 year.

They could pass her around as a team bonding thing. It's the sort of thing that would enhance a reality TV star's reputation. Or maybe check out that charter boat in Minnesota.

Typical front office garbage time in Chicago. They haven't had a good management team since Jim Finks died, and the Halas/McCaskey family still "throws nickels around like manhole covers" as they stash their NFL revenue sharing checks.

I'm loving this, fallout from last years NFC championship game will haunt them all season.

In Minni with no Sidney Rice, and no O-Line...they should get use to the bottom.

It sounds like da Bears have signed Roy Williams. Jay Jay now has the #1 receiver he has been waiting for. Just ask any Cowboy fan.

Damn... I'm flashing back to the time when the Steelers released Kordell Stewart in '03. I was afraid the Bears would go after him, and they did.

I'm still trying not to laugh...

It's getting harder every day.

I think the lockout has affected everyone. There have been some delirious moves by teams so far. I don't know how much football sense it all makes, but it's been very entertaining. Maybe they should do it this way every year.
