NCAA had issues with Pryor's recruitment

10:13 AM ET 07.30 | According to documents released yesterday by Ohio State in response to public-records requests, by late summer of 2008 the NCAA enforcement staff had concluded that Terrelle Pryor was an ill-gotten gain. They thought Ohio State had converted Jeannette, Pa., businessman Ted Sarniak into a booster who was representing its interests, not Pryor's. The university avoided any punishment because it convinced the NCAA membership-services office that Sarniak was a surrogate father to Pryor, not a booster. The documents provide an inside look at how Tressel and his assistants pursued Pryor, who ultimately played a central role in a player memorabilia-sales scandal that led to Tressel's resignation.

The NCAA needs to move a hell of a lot faster. Pryor's gone. You slow moving turtles should have handled this earlier. Same with $cam Newton. Dumb butts.

...and I'm not even a buckeye homer.

No kidding. NCAA sees this all the time - a booster-turned-surrogate-father - in men's basketball.

Ohio State is a dirty program probably one of the worst. I cannot see how anyone can go to one of their games without holding their noses and vomiting at the putrid state of their program.

DC and colonel already told that story, as they lived the moment!!! :-)

if I owned an NFL team I would not touch this guy with a 10 foot pole. Clearly, Pryor has moral issues which would not sit well with fans in most cities.
