08:13 AM ET 08.02 | Roy Oswalt didn't factor in a Monday decision with Lehigh Valley, but that wasn't the point. [Oswalt] went a long way toward proving that he's ready to rejoin the parent club as it makes its push toward the postseason. Oswalt allowed two runs over six innings, scattering seven hits and striking out four while throwing 90 pitches. It was his second rehab outing since going on the disabled list on June 24 with lower back inflammation. He should be able to step back into the Phillies' rotation this weekend when the club faces the San Francisco Giants. The IronPigs scored twice in the sixth inning to take Oswalt off the hook after he allowed single runs in the first and fourth.

I feel bad for Vance Worley...kid has been awesome but there's no way Oswalt wasn't going to take his spot back

If you look at the end of the season last year with Phily he was incredible. He's a big money player. Pennants are won August and September.
