Tigers out to shock 'the world'

08:19 AM ET 08.03 | It's a familiar rally cry among the disrespected. Most football prognosticators have low expectations for the Auburn football team this year. The players hear it. And they don't care. Despite losing 31 lettermen and 16 starters from last year's national championship team, the Tigers aren't expecting to fall off the map. And yes, they hear what people are saying. "Everybody has TVs on our football team," defensive end Nosa Eguae said Tuesday, when Auburn's players reported for practice. "For us, it's about going out there and getting better every day and shocking the world. I feel like we have a bunch of guys that are ready to compete and do such things."

"Everybody has TV's on our football team." psst..It's "cameras", not "TV's"

They should focus on shocking Utah State, Florida Atlantic and Samford before taking on the rest of the world.

That might be the only 3 games they win

That's probably what you said last year too

I figured the "shock" would be a new record for oversigning recruits, say like 41 or so.

I remember when Kodi Burns said they would shock the world in 2008, exactly like "Muhammad Ali shocked the world when he beat Cassius Clay."

Auburn has the toughest SEC schedule possible. In the SEC West and play UF, @UGA, and @USCe. They will probably will be underdogs except for Ole Miss

They might win on Oct 8 and Oct 15 and Oct 29 too. :-)

0-6....you want to make a little wager on whether they win on the 8th???

They will be above .500, but not by much, IMO. That schedule is a killer.

Dude, quit trying to take advantage of an older, feeble-minded nice fella like the Colonel, shame on you for trying to take advantage of him like that...

But if he comes back talking smack -- then take him for his wallet, his car keys, and his retirement check too!
