08:06 AM ET 08.04 | Vikings owner Zygi Wilf isn't done yet. [Wilf] said Wednesday that efforts continue to get a special session called in September in order to seek legislative approval for the proposed venue in Arden Hills. "We're very confident that we will have something worked out in the near future and hopefully that it could be addressed in a special session," said Wilf, who talked to reporters after he addressed the team following the afternoon walk-through. "But we're very confident in our location and for the future of the franchise in a new stadium up in Arden Hills. "We're very excited about moving that process forward for our fans and for everybody in the state who utilized the Metrodome in such a good fashion for the last 30 years. This will be a great venue for the next generation."

"We're very excited about moving that process forward for our fans...".

I bet he's more excited about how much a new stadium would increase the worth of his team.

And how much more revenue he'd get than he is now.

I thought he already was pushing for a new stadium -- in LA.

I got the Farmers field bumper sticker on the Jeep!

Last I heard the current stadium had mold growing on the field.

Two words, Zygi - Private Sector.

The State of Minnesota shut down for two weeks because it couldn't agree on a budget. There isn't enough money for the essential services of the state, like schools, graft, highways, corruption, limosines for fat cats, benefits for illegal immigrants, parks and paying guys like Count Dooku to get the snow off the streets.

No, get in line at the Registry behind Patti and Selma and wait your turn. No soup for you.

Just put a put a big red fro and a red rubber nose on this guy and put him under a tent already.

Here is the deal Zigi and the NFL have on the table-and it is a lousy one for the people of Minn.

Zigi Wilf and the NFL are willing to put up to about 40%, Ramsey County will pay $350 million dollars from an increase in county sales tax and the state will pay another $300 million.

Vikings will receive 100% of all stadium generated revenue.

That is $650 million in increased taxes. 8 days a year of some extra part time jobs and NO profit to be taken in at a new stadium.
Just overtime costs for police and the like.

Another billion for the owners pool ( was supposed to be to grow the NFL and help fund new stadiums-remember?). And not one thing different.

Donovan's Mom will show them how to use Campbell's Chunky Soup to clean up the mold before the opener.

They have to replace a lot of the turf, no one thought to remove the snow/ water from inside the dome after the Incident.

Even more reason for Zygi to be excited about moving that process forward for the fans.

Ah yes... the owners "looking out for the fans", as only they can.

He'll eventually get the freakin stadium. Especially if the Vikes start to win games. The people will relent and he will get his wish.

At rush hour, half the highways in Massachusetts qualify as parking lots.
