Calipari sends jab in Krzyzewski's direction

08:18 AM ET 08.05 | Direct shot or obtuse reference? Frankly, I don't see how this isn't John Calipari lobbing a grenade the way of Mike Krzyzewski. ... [Calipari's radio appearance] stream-of-consciousness suddenly took an abrupt turn when, while talking about the problems of college basketball spanning over two semesters, while football is just one, he then moved on to the NCAA needing an outside board with subpoena power. And then the thinly veiled shot on Krzyzewski being Teflon to phone-call rules came whizzing by. "Start a clean slate," Calipari said. "Police each other, give it to league commissioners and schools to deal with. If it goes beyond that, there's a board there that's ready to deal with it. ... You've got coaches being fired over phone calls and text messages. Some. Other guys can make phone calls and it's not that big a deal."

I'm not a Crapaloti fan but he may have a point if you look at it objectively.

John, get back in your hole. Your a disgrace to the NCAA. Where as Mike Krzyzewski is a class act and the example every coach should want to be.

I tend to agree....I hate both of 'em (sorry 0-6), but there does seem to be a double standard here.

Just wish the NCAA was as uniform and consistant in their punishment in CBB like they are in CFB........

As much as I dislike Duke, as a UNC alum, I have much respect for K and his program. I have absolutely no respect for UK or Calamari, due to their "win at all costs" complex. I also find it ironic that the only coach to ever vacate two final four appearances is providing an on-air commentary on NCAA policy.

Duke Coach may not be perfect but in an era of one and dones and kids being more thug than player, Duke Coach has done a much better job than pretty much anyone.

Calipari should shut his filthy sewer. Coach K is in an entirely different coaching and ethical stratosphere than Calipari. There is really nothing to say here once you consider the source.

When is the last time Coach K had anything vacated? We know the answer with Calipari.

Why is Calapari worried about recruiting against Duke? Duke looks for college athletes, not just athletes (sorry 0-6....)
