No matter the function, more than half of the roster was there, defensive tackle Marcus Forston said. "In the past, I've never seen none of my [teammates] on the weekend," the junior said. " But right now I'm seeing guys on Saturday, and then Sunday they're expecting to see you again." Lack of team unity last season, senior linebacker Sean Spence said, is why the team finished with a 7-6 record. "Talent wasn't the problem. We were the problem," Spence said. ... "We lost a lot of close games. We lost games we should have won due to lack of leadership and unity."

An undefeated OU squad defeated a previously undefeated Oregon squad for the BS championship. Fans of a 2 loss 'Bama team cried foul, claiming a 2 loss SEC team should have been .... oh you get the point.
