As his career wanes, he wanted to play for the Jets because they provided his best chance to win the one game that's eluded him in 14 previous NFL seasons. "I'm coming to the end of my career," Mason, who confirmed he signed a two-year deal, said. "I can still play a lot of good football, but I wanted to take every opportunity to try and win the Super Bowl and for me, this is the best place to try and do that." ... "Sometimes you just have to see what outweighs, I've been going on 15 years now and funds were not No. 1 on my list so, No. 1 on my list was to win and to win quickly. There were other offers at other places but like I said, this was the best fit for me."

Will be interesting to see how team chemistry works this season with all the moves on these and other teams. Typically it doesn't work - ask a Redskin fan.

I hate the Jets, and I hate Rex's BS. But even a Pats fan like me has to admit that it works for the team he's got. A bunch of misfits and divas, plus a below-average quarterback, should add up to disaster. I keep waiting for them to implode. I hope this is the year, but I wouldn't put money on it.

Mason has already won an AFC title with the Titans. That's as far as the J-E-T-S go.

This was one very smart signing. He is right, he has a lot of football left in him. Last year he had 61 receptions and ave. 13 yards a catch.
