Tebow is the QB Miami needs

08:04 AM ET 08.08 | Tim Tebow and Chad Henne are, no doubt, feeling somewhat under-appreciated these days. Tebow has a burdensome 'honey-do' list of great expectations in Denver that has turned him into one of the most polarizing figures in sports. He either stinks or is a blossoming superstar. No one really seems to know for sure. Henne seems to be destined as a placeholder in Miami until a better guy comes around. The noise from outside influences rattles his brain. Some fans have taken to chanting "We want Orton," in practice, alluding to Kyle Orton of the Broncos. There's an obvious 'win-win' scenario that will silence all the controversy. Miami fans need to start screaming "We want Tebow!" He's your guy, not Orton.

No, he is not.

No way Denver trades him unless they get a first round + something. Would be a wise move for Miami, which is why Miami won't do it.

I agree with DJ and also there has to be a better pic of Tebow, this one is over used.

I think this picture is intentionally used just so people will continue to complain about it.

Alternate title: "Two Teams That Suck and The Reasons They Suck."

August 8, 2011  08:16 AM ET

Tebow can't win in the NFL cause he won't get a chance.

August 8, 2011  08:20 AM ET

I'm not a Tebow hater - but it sounds like they'll take just about anybody, right about now.

What's the matter, Miami, don't have Jeff George's phone number?

August 8, 2011  08:22 AM ET

Word!!

Because both are going nowhere fast.

Never in the history of bad reporting has so much been written about someone who has done so little to warrant it.

As for the soul-less interns who keep posting the same proctological pictorial in order to elicit our fury, may they contract penile warts...

August 8, 2011  08:27 AM ET

God!!!! who pull that out of they're rear!

August 8, 2011  08:27 AM ET

Tebow was picked too high, so everyone considers him a 1st Round choice. If he had been correctly picked in the 2nd or 3rd, he could have avoided all of this pressure.

August 8, 2011  08:34 AM ET

Tebow has the most mawkish fan base in football history.

August 8, 2011  08:34 AM ET

The main story...

Fish have no QB and unless their Defense plays out of their minds, this team is bad enough to be in the Top 5 of the 2012 draft but not bad enough to be in the Top 1 of the 2012 Draft.

August 8, 2011  08:35 AM ET

No, Sam Bradford is the QB Miami needs. The trouble is, he's not available. Neither is Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers.

It's going to be a crowded race down the basement stairs, but Andrew Luck is the QB Miami needs, too. How long before we start seeing "Suck for Luck" signs in the Miami stands? How long before lip readers start seeing "Suck for Luck" being called in from the Miami bench?

That is a good point.

Morning all, Good post Glen, but I would change it to "Festering warts"

Last I checked, Tebow did as well in his rookie NFL season as Brett Favre did, as Troy Aikman did, Steve Young did, and John Elway did.
Now maybe he wasn't as successful in college as Favre, Aikman, Elway and Young were.
Wait, he was much more successful.

OK, maybe he wasn't as hard-working as a youngster as a guy like Favre was. Wait, Favre was unloaded by Atlanta one year after being a 1st round pick.

OK, maybe Tebow's arm strength and velocity is closer to Joe Montana's and Boomer Esiason's than it is to Jeff George and Kyler Bollers' rocket arms.

Get the point haters?

Bet the writer of this article is also giving sound advice in this economy........ Does his village know he is running around unsupervised? Tebow over Luck.....with those great personel skills he will be crazy Al's right hand man at GM.
