08:19 AM ET 08.08 | The planets may be aligning, thanks in some part to Anthrocon, for the Steel City. A decision has not been finalized, but the 2012 NHL Entry Draft appears one step closer to landing in Pittsburgh for the first time in 15 years. The Penguins already were considered the favorite to host the event when officials with Anthrocon 2012 -- the annual gathering of furries in Pittsburgh -- moved their event at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center to a week earlier in June than previously planned, accommodating a "rare opportunity" for the city to host an undisclosed event. It's a real possibility that event is the NHL draft, which likely would occur sometime during the weekend of June 22-24 at Consol Energy Center.

So is Sid the main event or is he on the undercard?

During the draft, the Penguins can wheel out Crosby and Malkin in their wheelchairs.

If they matched him with the Avery the fight would take forever. Both guys would be waiting until the other one isn't looking.

He'd have to catch them facing the boards, get his elbows up at full speed first.

By the picture it seems that Sid "bloody knuckles" Crosby will be fighting for the title.

BFD.

Cannot imagine giving a fig about some draft being held in my town. I wouldn't watch on TV let alone actually leave my home to attend live.....

Draft was fun for the first hour when there were trades galore in the first round. Now, it's just a long, protracted parade.
