08:15 AM ET 08.10 | At the very least, Auburn made progress in short order. Auburn's second session of Tuesday's two-a-day practice was better than the morning one that coach Gene Chizik said didn't go well. "They bounced back. They really did," said associate head coach Trooper Taylor on Tuesday night. "That's good. That shows leadership." Chizik called the first session "not good at all" as Auburn moves to Wednesday's scrimmage, the first of the fall. Taylor said the Tigers took a different tact in the second practice. "We didn't install anything new. Mainly, we fixed things we blew up this morning," Taylor said. Taylor said the problem Tuesday morning was "somebody got hit in the mouth."

I do believe it is "tack" which would be a "different tack in sailing"....
