Ewing pining for return 'home'

The Knicks have a big season ahead of them. Both star players and the head coach have questions to answer. This "Ewing to the Knicks bench" story may have some legs to it if the Knicks don't produce this season.

I don't know why he'd be on the bench. I think he can start there. Amare would be better off in the power forward position.

...Ewing battling Jordan and the Bulls for Eastern Conference supremacy will always be the picture of Ewing emblazened in my mind. Ewing is a Knick, through and through, and was the face of that storied franchise for over a decade. Say what you want about the guy, and maybe he DIDN'T bring a championship to the city, but it sure wasn't due to a lack of effort and desire. He never took 'games off' ala Vince Carter, and he played tough defense as well as a fairly decent offensive game. He played through injuries; never whining (a relative statement as ALL NBA players whine), but he played with a warrior's mentality. Much respect for Patrick, wish him well.

the only criteria to work for the Knicks and Mike D;Antoni is that you need to put Offense first and second, then we dont have to worry about the Defense at all
