08:00 AM ET 08.11 | Matt Hasselbeck would probably prefer not to hear the 'S' word. Offensive coordinator Chris Palmer said [Hasselbeck] is making progress learning the Titans' offense, but is also encountering predictable issues after spending the last 10 years in Seattle. It didn't help that Hasselbeck, signed as an unrestricted free agent, had to wait until Aug. 4 before he could practice. "He's struggling," Palmer said. "The other guys (that didn't have to wait) got a little bit the first day, a little more the second day, a little more the third day. These guys come in on Aug. 4 and we're in our eighth practice. That's a lot of volume to pick up in a short period of time. But he's doing a a good job as far as what he's picking up each day is becoming clearer and clearer to him."

It will be weird to see him in a Titanics uniform.

Don't worry. He'll have back spasms and miss the first few games, anyway. That'll give him plenty of time to study.

So the Titans are installing a passing game?

How hard is it to hand off to a Running Back left, right and then up the middle.

He's getting ready to be the next spokesman for A535...

Sure. Toss it to CJ out of the backfield once in a while instead of handing it to him every snap. That'll confuse those defenses!

Bring back Vince! He had the offense down cold lol

August 11, 2011  08:33 AM ET

Give the guy a break. This is a retirement job for him. It pays better than being a Wal-Mart greeter, but he knows he's a short-timer now.

You're lucky if he remembers his paper training.

Has CJ reported yet?

He and Hasselbeck really need to be working on that timing.

He should. He's the one who let it go cold in the first place.

Mongo dunno. Mongo only pawn in game of life.

Locker probably gives them a better chance right now than old man Hasselbeck. Other than the one playoff game Hasselbeck looked thoroughly done last year.

Yeah, Hasselbeck is just a place holder right now. Hopefully, he can get through half a season without getting hurt so Locker will have time to learn what the NFL is all about before he has to trade the clipboard for a helmet.

I hope the best for Locker, really seems like a good kid and has massive amounts of talent... Interesting to see if he can put it all together.

Hasselbeck strugglilng with Titans offense. Yeah, he walked in the locker room for the first time, took one look at the talent around him and ran for the door. It's been a struggle to keep him there ever since.

Would that be "Suckforluck?"

Eight whole practices and he hasn't learned the entire Titan's offense? What a Moroon.
