08:04 AM ET 08.12 | If you want to set off Brian Urlacher, ask him about Jay Cutler. [Urlacher] can snarl, swear and roll his eyes all he wants, but the reality is hard to avoid. When the NFL season opens next month, the eyes of so many fans and the media will be cast upon [Cutler]. Fairly or not, he's going to be the subject of more armchair analysis than the JLo-Marc Anthony split. "I don't give a [expletive] what people think, the fans, the media, whoever," Urlacher said, peppering his impatient rant with a string of 11 expletives in a little more than a minute. "Jay is our quarterback. He's tough, he doesn't shy away from hits and he plays hurt. We've all seen it."

Will this story NEVER END!!!

August 12, 2011  08:06 AM ET

The defense rests, Bro.

You f^*(!N% tell 'em, Brian!

And while you're at it...fix that $@&^% grass, will ya!

August 12, 2011  08:16 AM ET

This is tiresome. The past is done. Let Cutler's play speak for itself this season.

Ditto this.

Y'know, sometimes it's good to hear about a guy actually supporting a teammate, regardless of what you think of Urlacher or Cutler. Save the bashing for Sunday afternoons.

August 12, 2011  08:18 AM ET

Do tell, Brian. Let it out, we're all men here - except Cutler, that is.

August 12, 2011  08:18 AM ET

He is our #$%^%&^ Quarterback, even when he cries!

August 12, 2011  08:20 AM ET

When Smith Barney talks, people listen.
When Brian Urlacher talks, people laugh.

Yeah, he should show some home-team love for his grounds crew as well. Y'know, with only 4 hours on-field practice a day, he could spend some time helping out, patching sod, riding a mower, learning Spanish, stuff like that.

Ouch.

August 12, 2011  08:27 AM ET

How could anyone talk about Cutler and not use a lot of expletives? How else are you supposed to describe the guy?

August 12, 2011  08:27 AM ET

"I don't give a [expletive] what people think,"

and neither does Cutler.

I'd have something to say about that, but the only Spanish I know is "Ochocinco."

August 12, 2011  08:42 AM ET

The mods would delete the only spanish words I know.

I tried to make a statement once with a string of expletives....It only took the interns two days to find it...<and "promptly" remove it>

You need to get a new thesaurus.

If it wasn't for my daughter constantly raking the inside of my brain with "Dora", I'd be right there with you...
