09:29 AM ET 08.14 | Chad Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth might not be long for New England. One NFL executive familiar with the Patriots ways told me he believes one or both of the big name acquisitions will be cut before the season starts. The front office man thinks coach Bill Belichick will use the controversial players to help control and send a message to his locker room.

Too late Pats you've already lost credibility by signing these tools. And all along we thought Belichick was a genius. DOH!

Nah, I think the Hoodie plans to use them and get as much out of them as he can, then cut them loose. Ochocinco will probably last the season, Haynesworthless about 4-5 games into the season. Then BANG!

Be careful what you wish for.

The good news for the patriots is Merriwether was cleared. It was not his gun and he did no shooting, he was just there as a "peacemaker."
He may want to choose his friends better.

And down Uberdelphia would go...

They are going to have enough issues getting all of that "new blood" to gel. Sure, everything is gravy, now....but when that first bump hits, that's when team chemistry trumps talent.
