Matsui good fit for Yankees return?

He is an excellent candidate for a four year/60 million dollar contract extension from the Yankees.

Boston Globe article...are they trying to start something? hmmmmm.

Chavez is DHing for the Yanks right now and when A-Rod comes back, it will be hard enough getting Jorge ABs let alone Matsui. Don't get me wrong - I love Matsui but there isn't a spot for him unless the Yanks are eyeing him solely for the expanded September roster.

you are right. they already have a dh who cannot play in the field.

I think he is a great choice to replace big pappy. he can room with Dice K on the road.

settle down there, Tiger. A-Rod will be back this week and Nunez will be back on the bench. I stand by what I said - Nunez will improve defensively and he finally appears to be a viable replacement for Jeter in a couple years.

Why, on God's green earth, would the Yankees sign or make a deal for Matsui? This team scores runs as often as Cameron Diaz changes boyfriends..they do not need offense...coming from Sox fan, they suffer the same problem as we do; pitching. You wanna watch a game between Wake and AJ?
