08:06 AM ET 08.17 | A Tuesday report suggests the kind of NCAA misdeeds that lead a program into heaps of trouble. A University of Miami booster, incarcerated for his role in a $930 million Ponzi scheme, has told Yahoo! Sports he provided thousands of impermissible benefits to at least 72 athletes from 2002 through 2010. In 100 hours of jailhouse interviews during Yahoo! Sports' 11-month investigation, Hurricanes booster Nevin Shapiro described a sustained, eight-year run of rampant NCAA rule-breaking, some of it with the knowledge or direct participation of at least seven coaches from the Miami football and basketball programs.

This has definite potential to be death penalty worthy, if all the allegations prove true. Al, you picked a bad time to sign on with the Canes, buddy.
If any of you guys get the chance, read Mandel's SI piece about the former Cane AD that led the Infractions Committee, and was in charge at UM while alot of this garbage was going on. "Hypocrite" doesn't even BEGIN to cover that situation.

It should, but it won't. No way the NCAA ever hands out the death penalty to another program.

There are several coaches that have since moved on, some to Bama and other places, and one to UF, Aubrey Hill.
This thing is getting ugly fast.

You may be correct, but with a situation having as many potential violations as this appears it could have, it makes you wonder.

+1. Then again, when you are having that good of a time it may be a bit hard to stay laser-focused on the games themselves.

This does set the bar pretty high for the rest of the nation's boosters. How can you top this dude?
