JR becoming the next Don Cherry

Some of us consider any comparison to Cherry unflattering.

Don Cherry is that carton of milk in your fridge that is so old that (1) the expiration date wore off and (2) has a paper price tag on it instead of a UPC symbol

LOL! The fashion statement also indicates an affiliation to a bygone era.

I'll tell you this though......I'll take JR as the new Don Cherry over Mad Mike Milbury.

For me it's the equivilent of a die hard Detriot Lions fans listening to Matt Millen give his insight....ugh it's so infuriating!!

I'd rather see Gary Thorne or Barry Melrose.

I sure hope he doesn't turn into a Don Cherry. I do like JR and his blunt comments and the fact that he knows what he's talking about. I also like the way he's not afraid to take on his fellow commentators when they make stupid statements.

I agree. I like that about JR as well. He doesn't do it just to argue, he usually makes valid points in his arguements.

Outside of crying when the Hawks won, I like JR. Need people to speak their mind....and people who were actually good at the game.

Seriously, is it that hard to find a pic of Jeremy Roenick?

Plus, there is NO WAY he can pull of the suits like Cherry.

Nah. Roenik is his own man. He won't copy Cherry's fashion "sense". I suspect he will want to make his own unique style statement and I'm betting it will have something to do with his hair.
