Wie defends Sorenstam's criticism

Actually, I don't see any actual CRITICISM of Wie personally, other than that Sorenstam was stating that it was good for the women's tour if Wie were to focus on golf. I don't see anywhere that Sorenstam was saying Wie was a bad person for chasing her degree. I just think Sorenstam was looking out for the good of the tour.

You are correct, but the golf press is brutal and always trying to make something out of nothing. I doubt one could use more than one hand worth of fingers in counting the good golf journalists!

If Wie was posing in Playboy or something of that nature, I could understand Sorenstam's comment. But she's finishing her degree at Stanford. I think she made the best decision for her and no one else. She's young and has a bright future ahead of her, no matter what field she chooses to be in.

I'm not much of a Wie fan but I think it is great that she is focusing on getting her degree. I am disappointed in Annika that she would lay critisim on Wie for that.

Are you kidding me? I say go to school, have fun, drink it up. Life is too short. Besides, with the state of women's golf as is, she may need that Stanford education to fall back on!
