Top untapped NHL relocation markets?

10:04 AM ET 08.21 | The National Hockey League has already shifted one franchise this summer -- transforming the Atlanta Thrashers into the Winnipeg Jets. Skeptics contend that other relocations may soon be necessary, perhaps involving such struggling franchises as Phoenix, Columbus or the New York Islanders. If such a scenario comes to pass, 22 markets have the necessary income bases to support an NHL team, according to an On Numbers study. Among the prominent candidates are Houston, Las Vegas, Orlando and Seattle.

Another mystery science cannot explain, Canuck.

Notice also that three of the four cities mentioned lie well south of the Mason-Dixon line. Apparently the failed experiment in Atlanta has thought the Buttgoblin nothing.

I can understand the players who after skating around, go home put on shorts and t-shirt and puts on the BBQ while the kids romp in the pool in December. (How bout you:))

If anyone else looked at the list from the article...You'll find Quebec and Hamilton with Dayton Ohio in between around numbers 31-33 LOL...Atlanta was still at number 11 and Honalulu was way ahead of the Canadian sites. LMAO
