Texas expecting to carry four QBs

[With] one week left before heading into game week for the Sept. 3 Rice opener, the mixing and matching is starting to be phased out, co-offensive coordinator Major Applewhite said. "Now we're in the perfection and confidence stage," Applewhite said Sunday. ... Garrett Gilbert, Case McCoy and David Ash took most of the snaps in Friday's scrimmage, with Connor Wood receiving relatively few snaps near the end of the session. Applewhite was asked if he expects all four quarterbacks to be on the roster when the season opens. "Yes," he said. "I do."

Sounds like they are all even Don't know if that means they are all even "good" or all even "bad" but all even none the less.

And they may need that many if the O-line sucks again.

This has more to do with no one transferring yet. They've been here before. The "Bammer MNC game" did, however, expose our over-reliance on transcendent QB play.
