Chiefs coach denies UCLA interest

Chiefs coach Herm Edwards said he was not interested in the vacant coaching job at UCLA after a report late Thursday suggested the Bruins had targeted Edwards. "No, thank you," he said. "I've got work to be done here. I've got a plan here. I want to stick to my plan. We're just in the middle of this." Edwards said he had not been contacted by the school. Edwards, who attended San Jose State, was recruited to play at UCLA.

Edwards has a "plan"?!?

Unless his plan's goal is to slowly destroy a pretty good NFL franchise and infuriate it's fanbase......it ain't working.

I kinda believe that the Chiefs are now a transitional team with age and injuries taking a hugetoll. Certainly the Larry Johnson holdout thing didn't help much and the front office can be thanked for all that. The unexpected demise of Priest Holmes is yet another aspect that has contributed to this team's poor showing this year. Its gonna be a while before the Chiefs rise back to the top and that inevitable with whoever is coach.

Hm, I thought he played at Cal. There was a guy there, played defensive back, name "Squirmin'" Herman Edwards.
