USC forward considers transfer

Having played only two minutes before sustaining a serious back injury last month, USC sophomore forward Kyle Austin has broached the possibility of transferring. Coach Tim Floyd said Austin met with him Thursday and mentioned that he was considering seeking another school that would offer more playing time. "I think that is an option for him right now at this point," Floyd said. "We would hate to see him go, but he desperately wants to play." If he left, Austin would be the fourth Trojans player to transfer because of concerns over playing time since the beginning of last season.

You go to USC to play with, and against, the best. If you can't handle it, get out. E. Moody, R Hinds, L. Stewart, etc. matt Cassel showed that you can be a back up at USC, get great coaching, and still play in the pros. And yes, I realize that most of my examples are from football - B Ball is today is like football in 2001 - on the rise.

I'm still wondering how Tim Floyd got a Brooklyn kid (Taj Gibson) to go to Southern Cal?

CoachFloyd and the USC basketball program sold out to overrated one-year-of-collegeNBA wannabe OJMayo - most of the kids who stay to play on that team are either hoping to ride coattails or are looking forward to next year and the year after that - USC will not beat UCLA or win the BigDance, not that Mayo cares -- he just wants to join the phony millionaires club known as the NBA, where good basketball skills, work ethic, and teamwork are quickly forgotten [with Spurs and present Celtics a welcome exception]

OJ is the Truth, i have seen him on every level aau, camps, high school and college. I was there at the garden when he played Derrick Rose. OJ is player than Rose and Gordan, OJ can do it all. Rose can't shoot from outside and Gordon can't Left. This kid OJ create space to get his off, drives to hoop and shoot from the outside. OJ is more Polish than others freshman guards
