Minnesota job is Adelman's if he wants it

08:13 AM ET 08.24 | Rick Adelman heard the pitch Tuesday. [Adelman] was in town today to interview for the Timberwolves coaching job and as of late [Tuesday] afternoon, I heard he was already on a plane out of town -- presumably home to Portland -- without an offer yet being made. He met with president of basketball operations David Kahn, owner Glen Taylor, CEO Rob Moor and probably minority partners and other personnel as well. The Wolves brass worked for weeks to get Adelman to come in for more than a phone interview. If he wants the job and they can agree on a salary, the job is probably his. That salary would probably approach $5 million per year. The four-year contract he signed with Houston in 2007 was worth a bit more than $16 million.

At this rate Minny is gonna interview everyone that's available and have them all submit a book report before Kahn actually hires someone.

Can Lenny Wilkens be far behind on an interview?

Hopefully the wolves can be a better team once the season starts..... Whenever it starts....

He doesn't want to coach this year anyway, and since there won't be a season this year, just hold off and hire him next year...

If anyone can turn the team around its Rick.....Lets just hope the GM dont get in his way with any more stupid moves....

He just needs to coach 5 more NBA teams and he'll have caught up to Larry Brown.

It's better to want what you can''t have than to have what you don't need, Bro!

Does it really matter what the Timberwolves do? The team is a mess, and likely to stay that way.
