Flyers go Hollywood

08:34 AM ET 08.25 | While it's not unprecedented -- Cam Neely comes to mind -- the silver screen is calling the Flyers. The Flyers' Ian Laperriere, Matt Carle, Scott Hartnell and James van Riemsdyk were in Hollywood last week to film scenes for Judd Apatow's latest movie, "This is Forty." The players had speaking roles and in one scene, the four are asked to dance. "I will award myself the title of worst dancer," Laperriere said. "JVR and Hartsy had some moves. Matty Carle is a little more my type -- a stiffer dancer just like me. But we were all sportsmen and had a lot of fun." The movie stars Megan Fox, Wyatt Russell and Leslie Mann, and is scheduled for a December 2012 release. Apatow has produced such hits as "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Knocked Up" and "Superbad."

It's amazing what dropping Modano, Rafalski, Draper and Osgood from the roster will do to the age average. To show all the cards, the average is about 29.999999. ;) ...if one drops Kindl off the roster it pushes over thirty.
Maybe what's throwing you off is what surprised me...Drew Miller's only 27!! With all that gray hair he looks 44.
